You Are the Gift

You are the gift.  A selfie isn’t just to show the world your beauty and fitness.  The selfie is for you to see who you are in the world and offer love to yourself exactly as you are.  Take a selfie as a gift for you. It can be a portrait of gratitude for who you are and who you are becoming.  It reveals your authentic self, created in love for the purpose of love.  Now THIS is worthy of a selfie!

Only Good Comes

Just imagine that everything coming to you today is for your good, even though it might look like a disaster or a disappointment.  Imagine slipping on a pair of goggles that allows you to see with the eyes of Spirit.  With this sight, you see all experiences and emotions as working for your good.  It’s as if everything that comes to you merely moves through you and leaves a gift behind.

My blessing for you: May you see all the good things coming to you today. May you open your heart to receive the gifts that are offered in every moment.

Decide to Thrive

Decisions are magical, aren’t they?  When you are unsure of yourself, you feel depleted.  When you make a decision, you feel your energy lift you off your feet!  This week, my mantra is: I decide to thrive.  Even though I’ve not always had all I needed to meet my physical and emotional needs, I now make a new choice.  I decide to thrive.  Just saying the words is uplifting!

My blessing for you: May you thrive emotionally, physically, spiritually, and financially.  May all your needs and desires be met with ease.

Peace Is a Woman

“Peace is a woman, mother to the world.” This is from Tara Singh, who wrote, “How to Raise a Child of God”.

I think of peace this way—beautiful, calm, surrendering to God’s will.  Today I choose peace.  Even though there might be challenges or disappointments, I intend to choose peace no matter what.  Like happiness, peace is a choice you make in all circumstances.  Do your thoughts bring you peace or do they bring suffering?  Today, I choose peace. Though I’ve been ill for several weeks, today I choose peace, no matter what.

Her blessing to you: May you choose peace in every circumstance in your life.  May you feel your thoughts calm, as if a mother’s hand caressed your brow. May peace be your choice throughout the day.

She Thrives

“She Thrives No Matter What” This Messenger of Love tells me: “Begin again.  Remember your first love, your first job, your first trip around the world.  It’s a new day, literally and spiritually and every way possible.  Every dawn is a gift of renewal, a chance to begin again, to do better than yesterday.”

I tried to make this Messenger of Love a perfect beauty, delicate and lovely with her blue hair.  She would have none of it. So I painted over the entire panel with titanium white.  Then I scraped and rubbed away areas of her face and shoulders.

She said: “There!  This is how I like it.  Of course, I’m perfect in spirit.  But as a human, I’m like a painting on a cave wall.  I peel and fade and lose my brilliance.  Then I take myself to the spa, on a retreat, or start a new relationship.  I’m revived, brand new again, ready for all the challenges and opportunities before me.  I continue to thrive no matter what.”

Her blessing for you: “May you thrive no matter what.  If you have to redirect your life a dozen times over, may you still remember that you are born to thrive, to endure, no matter what.  Your body may shrink and wrinkle, but the light within you never fades!”

Monday Mantra

Here’s a Monday mantra that I like to use any day of the week.  Sometimes I use it with Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), where you tap trigger points on your head and upper body.  The technique reminds me of acupressure and hypnotherapy combined.  My favorite teacher is Brad Yates, @tapwithbrad, who has hundreds of videos on YouTube.  The goal for using any affirmation or mantra is to say it repeatedly and believe it.  Feel its truth in your cells.

Even the most successful of us, don’t always feel great about themselves. The high suicide rates tell us that someone can look happy, prosperous, and successful on the outside and still feel empty inside.

No matter what, you are loved and lovable. Why not give yourself a little love today?

Art Ministry

This morning I felt God’s hand on my shoulder with pressure as light as a bird.  “You do this.  Do this in my name,” I heard.

Coming out is not just about sexual orientation.  It is about revealing your true identity, the you inside that you hide from others.  God has given me a ministry, a calling to fulfill, to use the gifts He has given me.  It is an Art Ministry called, “Blessings of Love”.

I do hear God.  Anyone can when they tune their frequency to receive. You can call it God or spirit, goddess, the divine, or universe.  It is the same energy—the creator, the all-that-is.  I can see through God’s eyes.  Some days it brings me to my knees.  Other days, I’m floating like an airborne angel.  I can’t deny it any longer.  I just wanted you to know.

The art that I create is an offering from God to you that comes through me.  It has a value and meaning far beyond the materials of paint and pencil.  All my art and blessings are created in love, for the purpose of love, with the intention to spread love wherever it travels; to open hearts once closed, to soothe the anxious heart, to uplift those who despair.

I ask for your help.  Please repost my art.  If possible, buy products in my RedBubble shop, especially the t-shirts with images of the Messengers of Love.  Everywhere you wear the shirt, you’ll be spreading love and blessings in the world.  If you can, please consider buying my original art.  Take it into your home and offices where it can imbue your environment with unconditional love.

An Ancient Peace

This Messenger of Love claims the peace that is her birthright. It goes with her everywhere, guiding her in the right choices. When she misplaces her inner peace, she knows she has strayed off her path. With one thought, she reclaims the peace within. She’s back on the path that reaffirms her sacred steps.

You might stray or stumble off your path countless times. You might judge yourself broken as a result. Yet, it takes just one thought, one conviction to set it right! Peace comes from knowing that you are one with the Love that created you.

This Messenger offers you a blessing: May you, too, discover an Ancient Peace as your own. May your heart be filled with a love that knows no end and a peace that has no boundaries. May you experience inner peace as a brilliant gem at the center of your being.

Night Visitor

This Night Visitor asked for some bling. I pulled out a drawer, and there it was. She loves her necklace! Self-pampering is more than frivolous. It’s self-care, a message about how you feel about you. Bling might not be your thing, yet the way you think about yourself really matters.

When you hold yourself in high regard, you send a message that this is the way you want to be treated by others. On some level, we are all connected. So a little self-care goes a long way to helping everyone feel better about themselves and those around them.

Miracle Maker

Angels don’t always have wings. Sometimes they have orange hair and blue eyes! This Messenger of Love is a Miracle Maker. You can actually hear her wings flutter as she walks. She knows that even if her wings are not visible, they do exist to lift thoughts from fear to love, from the illusion of struggle to the ease of grace. She IS an angel, someone who remembers her true identity.

Her blessing for you: May you discover your own true identity. May you discover all you are, the full, spectacular you, a miracle maker in human form, who was made in love.

"She Lives in the Garden"

"She Lives in the Garden"

She lives in the garden and the garden lives in her. This Messenger of Love takes the garden everywhere she goes. It is more of a mindset than a place; more of a state of being than a location in time. The garden nourishes her, holds her upright like a stalk in the wind.

She sends a blessing to you: May you live in the garden of God’s love. May it live in you as the home you carry with you wherever you go. Even though you might have wandered out of the garden from time-to-time, you are always welcome Home. Here, you are valued and cherished just as you are.

Light Within

Through her long years, she has learned that that her thoughts give meaning to things, people, and events in her life.  If she has a choice about how to think about her life She chooses to see only light.  Her skin folds into creases, but this doesn’t bother her.  God created her full of light and unconditional love.  Her body is like a threadbare dress, but it’s just a vehicle to get her from place to place.  Time erodes the illusion of external beauty. She takes care of it knowing that it is temporary.

Her blessing to you: May you befriend the beauty within.  May you also care for your body as a trusted friend.  In the end, may your body be a well worn suit of clothes that you discard with ease and gratitude.

Facing Fear

This Messenger of Love looks fear in the face and chooses love.  When she faces fear, it dissipates like fog in sunlight.  She doesn’t fight against fear or defend herself like a castle under siege.  Instead, she looks fear in the face and sends it loving thoughts.

Each morning she sends out love to her day—to everyone she will meet or contact, to the animal, mineral, and plant kingdoms, and this beautiful blue planet herself.  Love is her answer to fear.  Fear is but a loveless thought held in the mind until it seems real.  Love is the answer.

Her blessing for you: May you hold yourself in loving thoughts. When fear arises, may you remember to choose love. Fear is just fog obscuring your true reality, which is love. May you remember this always.

Spring In Her DNA

“Spring Is in Her DNA” This Messenger of Love comes alive in the Spring, the time of new beginnings. Where once there was frozen ground, there is now new life.

Her blessing to you: May you believe in new beginnings, no matter the circumstances of the past. May you embrace Spring in your life. As you were made of hope, may you walk in hope.  As you were made from Love, may you lovingly welcome new beginnings in your life.

Your true nature is miracle enough. You don’t have to morph into something alien or purified of all flaws. YOU ARE A MIRACLE—a spark of the divine clothed in human form. Your worthiness is woven into your DNA waiting for you to claim.

Face of Hope

“Her Name Is Hope” in full scale. Hope breaks the spell of loss and regret. She sees beyond bitterness and disappointment. Even in her dreams, she greets the dawn with wonder.

Breakthrough in Color

This is what a breakthrough looks like in color. I asked the Universe for a breakthrough in my life and my art. This is what I got-- an energy explosion like the birth of a galaxy! I can’t wait to see what comes next.

I’m playing on translucent Duralar. It’s an amazing substrate similar to Yupo paper. It comes clear and translucent. It’s archival, stiff, and accepts paint, ink, pencil and even charcoal. I photographed this detail by holding the sheet up to the window so the light passes through like it does through stained glass. In person, it is incredibly vivid.

Her Name Is Hope

“Her Name Is Hope” This Messenger of Love is the perfect sister to forgiveness. Wherever forgiveness lives, she rushes in to reside.

Hope is more than a dream. She is the outstretched hand when you are lost in despair. She is the hug of reassurance, the smile of welcome. She is the acknowledgement that you are loved, you are home and whole.

She greets the dawn with wonder. Every day is a chance to reset her attitude, make new choices, and look for the good in people in situations.

Her name is Hope. Forgiveness has led her to the other side of hurt and trauma. She lives in a land called Hope, where miracles are possible.

Her blessing to you: When you move through your day, may you call upon her to walk with you. May you acknowledge her presence in your life and nurture a relationship that turns her dreams of possibilities into yours.
