Every morning, her heart swells with gratitude for the new day. It’s a day with nothing extraordinary to anticipate. It’s just a new day with hummingbirds hovering over her flowers, cats purring on her lap, and the sun rising as it takes its daily ride across the sky.

It’s a new day and that is enough to celebrate. Every day is a miracle. Every thought can be renewed. Every choice can be made fresh in this moment.

She thinks about the universe and how it expands in every millisecond. She takes the universe as her mentor, so that she, too, might expand her thoughts, her love, and her gratitude in each moment.

There is no limit to how much gratitude she can feel. Just for being here. Just for being alive. She welcomes the miracle of a new day with its new choices, new thoughts, new opportunities that never existed before.

The world begins anew in every moment. Because she is in this world, she can greet the morning with new choices that expand her gratitude for the love residing in her heart.

My latest Messenger is calm and centered. She is aware of the chaotic, conflicting energies of everyday life. She has trained herself to let them pass through her as a rain cloud moves across the sky. She focuses on the space between her cells. Unwanted energies pass through her without clinging to her cells, the substance of her body and thoughts. She feels the energies and does not claim them as hers.

“She Is a Flower to the Hummingbird”

Sweet. Succulent.

Mistaken for a flower,

She attracts the hummingbird.

Hummingbirds dance around my yard as they feast on my flowers. This one seemed to fly from my balcony onto my easel. It makes me smile every time I look at it!
